Custom CAD Modeling & Product Design Services
Transform your product ideas into professional 3D CAD models. From rough sketches to production-ready designs. Perfect for inventors, entrepreneurs, and product developers. Based in Modesto, CA - we work with clients anywhere in the United States.
Professional CAD Modeling for Product Development
You have a product idea - maybe it's sketched on paper, described in words, or just a concept in your head. We transform that idea into a professional 3D CAD model that you can use for prototyping, manufacturing, patent applications, investor presentations, or crowdfunding campaigns.
Our CAD modeling service isn't just drafting - it's collaborative product development. We work closely with you to understand your vision, suggest design improvements, solve engineering challenges, and optimize for manufacturability. The result is a production-ready 3D model that works in the real world, not just on screen.
Unlike freelance platforms where you get what you get, we include unlimited revisions in our fixed-price quotes. We iterate with you until the design is exactly right. Files are delivered in formats compatible with any manufacturing process: 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, or whatever production method you choose.
When You Need Custom CAD Modeling
New Product Development
Developing a new product from scratch? We translate your concept into a detailed 3D model. Includes design consultation, engineering advice, and optimization for manufacturability. Get your idea out of your head and into reality.
Inventor & Entrepreneur Support
Have an invention but lack CAD skills? We create professional 3D models for patent applications, provisional patents, and USPTO submissions. Includes multiple views, exploded diagrams, and documentation as needed.
Crowdfunding & Kickstarter Projects
Launching on Kickstarter or Indiegogo? Professional 3D renders and animations are crucial for campaign success. We create photo-realistic visualizations and prototype CAD files for manufacturing quotes and backer rewards.
Custom Parts & Accessories
Need a custom part that doesn't exist? One-off bracket, adapter, enclosure, or modification to an existing product? We design custom solutions based on your requirements, measurements, or reference parts.
Prototype Design for Testing
Designing a prototype to test form, fit, and function? We optimize CAD models specifically for prototyping: easy assembly, test features, material considerations. Includes design for 3D printing or other rapid prototyping methods.
Manufacturing-Ready Design
Preparing for production manufacturing? We design with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles: appropriate tolerances, draft angles for molding, features compatible with your manufacturing method. Get quotes from manufacturers with confidence.
Our Collaborative Design Process
Discovery Consultation
Tell us about your product idea. What problem does it solve? Who is it for? How will it be used? Share any sketches, reference images, dimensions, or inspiration. We discuss your goals, timeline, and budget. No technical knowledge required - we speak your language.
Timeline: 30-60 minute consultation (phone/video)
Concept Sketches & Quote
We create quick concept sketches to confirm we understand your vision. This ensures we're aligned before detailed modeling begins. We provide a fixed-price quote based on project complexity. Revisions are included - no hourly billing surprises.
Timeline: 1-2 days for concept sketches and quote
3D CAD Modeling
We build the detailed 3D CAD model in professional CAD software. Proper parametric modeling with design intent, not just surfaces. We consider manufacturability, assembly, strength, ergonomics, and aesthetics. Engineering consultation included throughout.
Timeline: 3-7 days depending on complexity
Review & Iteration
We present the initial design with rendered images and technical views. You provide feedback. We iterate until it's perfect. Unlimited revisions included within the project scope. Most projects require 2-3 revision rounds to finalize.
Timeline: 1-3 days per revision round
Final Delivery
You receive CAD files in your preferred formats: STEP, IGES, STL, Solidworks, Fusion 360, or others. We include rendered images, technical drawings (if requested), and assembly instructions (if applicable). Files are yours to use without restrictions.
Timeline: Same day digital delivery after approval
Complete Product Development Support
Need more than just CAD files? We offer complete product development: design β prototyping β testing β manufacturing. We can 3D print your prototypes, coordinate with manufacturers, and support you through production. See our Rapid Prototyping service.

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm not technical - can you still help me?
Absolutely! Most of our clients aren't engineers. We translate your ideas into technical designs - you don't need to know CAD, engineering, or manufacturing. Just tell us what you want to create, and we'll handle the technical details. We explain everything in plain language.
What if I only have a rough sketch or idea?
That's perfectly fine! We work from rough sketches, photos, hand-drawn concepts, verbal descriptions, or even just ideas in your head. We'll ask clarifying questions to understand your vision, then create concept sketches to confirm we're aligned before detailed modeling.
How many revisions are included?
Unlimited revisions within the project scope. If you want to change dimensions, adjust features, or refine the design based on our initial model, that's included. Major scope changes (adding completely new features, redesigning from scratch) may require a quote adjustment.
Can you design products for mass manufacturing?
Yes! We design with manufacturing in mind: proper tolerances, draft angles for injection molding, features compatible with CNC machining, assembly considerations, and material selection. We've designed products that went from prototype to tens of thousands of units in production.
Who owns the CAD files and intellectual property?
You own everything. All CAD files, designs, and intellectual property are transferred to you upon final payment. No restrictions, no licensing fees. You're free to manufacture, modify, patent, and commercialize your design. We sign NDAs if needed.
Can you also prototype the design after modeling?
Yes! Most clients use our complete workflow: design β prototype β iterate β manufacture. We 3D print functional prototypes for testing, make design adjustments based on testing, and help you find manufacturers for production. See our Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing services.
How much does CAD modeling cost?
Pricing starts at $200 for simple parts and varies based on complexity, detail level, and deliverables. Most projects range from $200-$2,000. We provide fixed-price quotes upfront after reviewing your requirements - no hourly billing surprises. Payment milestones for large projects.
How long does a typical project take?
Simple parts: 3-5 days. Complex products: 1-3 weeks. Rush service available if you have tight deadlines. Timeline depends on project complexity and how quickly you can provide feedback during revision rounds. We provide realistic timelines upfront.
